NRPDTP student, Jared Carpenter’s inspiring interview with ITV Anglia
Jared Carpenter, a third year NRPDTP PhD student at the John Innes Centre, and a University of East Anglia (UEA) Master of Mathematics graduate, was recently interviewed by ITV Anglia on his experiences of education as an autistic pupil.
“It was so cool. It was also nice to be able to share my experience in that kind of way, and nice to talk about it all in the environment of the UEA Maths department,” said Jared.
During a three month Professional Internships for PhD Students (PIPS) placement, Jared is working with colleagues in the School of Mathematics at UEA to develop resources to make mathematics more readily accessible to neurodiverse students. Well done Jared.
