New solution to harmful algal blooms raises hope of economic and environmental benefits
Ben Wagstaff, a previous DTP iCASE student, has recently been an author on a study looking at how to deal with algal blooms. Edward Hems, also part of the DTP programme, was involved in the project too. Both students were under the supervision of Dr Rob Field at the John Innes Centre. The team are on the verge of introducing a cheap, safe and effective method of dealing with harmful algal blooms, following successful field and lab tests.
